Speech on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam – Smriti Divas. 27-July - 2023- by Prof. Mohd Ossama

Dear Colleagues, Brothers & Sisters.

Greetings of the Day!

Today is an apt occasion to ponder on the vast contribution of Dr. Kalam towards nation building. We aspire to become No1. Economy, a big peaceful power and a respected nation. Nation building is a participative and collaborative process which takes every citizen along.

Dr. Kalam was an influence, a motivational force and an educator to the youth. His immense contribution in S&T, Public policy and institution building is well noted. His words & wisdom still inspire millions of youth and students today. His speeches & books are the treasure of personal excellence and inspiration to serve the nation and the community. His words and works are an example of transformational leadership. His contribution is counted today as multiple universities and institutions are named after him.

If we summarize his message to the youth –

• S&T awareness
• Education, Technology & Skills
• Knowledge Society
• Rural Amenities in Urban Centers
• World Class Manufacturing
• Ignited minds for successful careers
• Developed India to benefit all

Dr. Kalam was a great Public President and served in various capacities to the Government of India. His books & lectures leave a lasting impact on the youth. His 2020 vision document was an evidence of great national planning

• A nation which is the best destination for the most talented scholars, scientists, and investors from around the world.

• A nation where poverty has been totally eradicated, illiteracy removed, crime against women and children is absent, and no one in the society feels alienated.
• A nation that is prosperous, healthy, secure, devoid of terrorism, peaceful and happy, and continues on a sustainable growth path.
• A nation that is one of the best places to live in and is proud of its leadership.
• A nation should develop places like an visit pilgrims in India and capable leadership

Lets us unite in our efforts of national service and welfare to combine handwork & knowledge to sustain the coming time to achieve greater success. Success shall take time, it is a full process and the result is final & open. Self motivation is main to calculate caliber and calibrate our efforts in sectors of economy to get maximum professional output.
